CORS Bidding Tips

Apparently a few of my freshies ask me for bidding tips for their bidding... therefore i would post it here in case anybody needs it (sort of dun have to repeat myself many many times)

1) Round 1C is protected round for freshies where they are classified as new students (unlike yr 2 and beyond we are called returning students)

2) Everyone in Round 1C for freshies has 600 Points to start with no more no less

3) There is Open bidding which u can see all the info and Close bidding u can only see vacancy and no. of bidders which no.s of bidders do fluctuate

4) When bidding round start do not need to rush in and bid... you can even start bidding on the second day

5) Avoid outbid someone during open bidding to prevent escalation of bid points

6) As long as Vacancy is more than Bidders... it is for sure everyone get 1 point

7) Crucial timing to Bid is during the end of Opening bidding and near the end of the whole bidding round during close bidding to manipulate the bid u placed and throw in everything

8) Bidding strategies varies with the situation so gotta see how too....

Yupz dats all for now... anyway is kind of hard to mug for DM exam... procrastinating... :(

I am in Team 46 route G (Team name is TEAM S.U.M) with my fellow teammates Jo, Krysten, Edmund, Guss which i am the youngest... and we won 13th position out of 66 teams with 150 dollars cash prize... it was a grueling race which we race from:

Tampines North CC @2100hrs --> R.O.M --> Sultan Mosque --> The Cathay --> Esplanade Under the Bridge --> Mustafa --> Raffles Place (stupid suoduko wasted our time) --> Singapore Indoor Stadium -- PA Kallang(Old Kallang Airport) which is our 1st relak corner to rest for 3.5hrs before the 2nd league of the race --> Labrador Park --> Kent Ridge Park (We got horlan here as we keep going wrong places) --> Pasir Ris Elias CC which is our 2nd Relak Corner of 45mins rest --> Pasir Ris Park Mangrove Swamp --> Changi Chapel& Muesem --> Bedok Reservior --> Kovan E-Hub our ending point reaching at 1224hrs

The first team reach there like 1018hrs... totally impossible.. but well they won... had fun and enjoyed ourselves and jo being the most ah lian girls who keep entertaining us with her high pitch and loud voice... haha Team photo before we set off...

"Inflation"

Heyz... is been a while i last updated here... well just finish Sports Camp Chalet... was pretty fun as i know new ppl i have not really met during sports camp and the talks we had as o comm... love ya deep deep o comm... life was pretty in a mess recently.... just feel kind of negative about things and tired emotionally and physically... currently kind of lack of sleep... and tml gotta go for N.E.X.T Challenge.... yupz... and now i am waiting for my air ticket to go Bali for diving to see the Molas...

Anyway back to the main topic.. today just happen to ponder in some social stuff... as u can see we face a global inflation crisis as resources prices are going up.... but in the past few decades... not only prices went up... education kind of had an impact from inflation... why is this so? The reason is dat the minimum qualification in Singapore Society keeps going higher and higher... For example... during the early days of Singapore in the 1950s to 1960s secondary education seems to be the benchmark most Singaporeans will look forward to acheive and later diploma but currently the benchmark is to get a degree... now i even hear SIM graduates resumes are being chucked aside as there are too many private degree holders... the whole thing works in a form of supply and demand... yupz... who knows one day in order to be successful u gotta have a doctorate degree in the future from the way it is...

NUS Sports Camp 2008

Sports camp is over last week... just manage to find time to update... wanna thank everyone who make sports camp a success this year... wanna thank the whole O comm dat it was fun working with u all despite all the tiredness... firefighting and hiccups... we pull through the whole camp together... really great to know you guys... any thing i do or say dat upset ya pls pardon me... yupz... overall sports is great and fun.... can see everyone enjoy themselves and oh man... i sometimes wish i am a freshie looking at how they enjoy the camp.... wanna thank Wee Ping, Jasper and Michelle for giving me the chance to be in this comm... which i do fear i might not be able to gel well with but all the worry was uneccessary as i enjoy the company of the darn good comm... yeah man... kodoos to u ppl!

Yupz this are all the fun we went through... for more pics and videos pls look at our facebook group... http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=10156626003 yeah...

Anyway was very glad that i pass my Divemaster Pool Evaluation... only thing need to do is rescue diving scenario cos i made some mistakes in the procedure which the citeria to pass for dive professional is high... so need to redo it during my on job training soon... manage to pass the stress test too... experience of a life time as the instructor will disturb u while u exchange equipment like pull off ur mask... switch off ur air tank.... release ur tank band... press ur power inflator.... and more... gotta stay underwater without jetting up the surface for air... in the end realised i am the only one survived and i passed it alone... now left on job training and the theory test i will be certified as divemaster... yeah!!! one step closer!
